O Instituto Camões - Centro Cultural Português, a editora Garça e o Instituto da Biblioteca Nacional e do Livro promoveram no passado dia 2 de Maio, no auditório IC-CCP Praia, o lançamento da colectânea de poesia “Na Liberdade”.
O volume reúne poetas de Portugal, Angola, Cabo Verde, Guiné-Bissau, Moçambique, S. Tomé e Príncipe e Timor-leste, no qual assume particular relevo a participação de 11 poetas cabo-verdianos.
Por ocasião do trigésimo aniversário do 25 de Abril de 1974, a editora Garça tomou a iniciativa de convidar três poetas para coordenarem a elaboração de uma colectânea-antologia que plasmasse em poesia o que foi a reconquista da Liberdade, com o derrube do regime ditatorial, em Portugal, e todo o desencadear de acontecimentos surgidos com a democracia, nomeadamente, o fim das guerras coloniais e o reconhecimento do direito à independência dos povos até então dominados pelo colonialismo português.
Durante um ano, Jorge Velhote, Nicolau Saião e Nuno Rebocho contactaram poetas da CPLP e prepararam “Na Liberdade”. De acordo com uma nota de Centro Cultural Português, mais de uma centena de poetas (alguns, entretanto, já falecidos) responderam ao convite e os seus poemas encontram-se reunidos neste livro que se apresenta agora em Cabo Verde.
Corsino Fortes, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, José Luís Hopffer Almada, José Luís Tavares, Mário Fonseca, Onésimo Silveira, Oswaldo Osório, Tchalé Figueira, Vasco Martins, Vera Duarte e Arménio Vieira constituem a participação de Cabo Verde na antologia, a par de poetas como Mário Césariny, Sophia de Mello Breyner, Manuel Alegre, Nuno Júdice, Vasco Graça Moura, Alda Espírito Santo e Luís Carlos Patraquim.
A apresentação da obra esteve a cargo do jornalista e professor Daniel Medina e serão ditos poemas por José Braga-Amaral (poeta e editor), Nuno Rebocho (coordenador) e pelos poetas participantes na colectânea que estiverem presentes.
Amanhã, 8 de Maio, pelas 18:45h, o jornalista, escritor, poeta e actor português José Braga-Amaral, da “Confraria da Palavra Dita” do Douro português, apresentará, no Auditório do IC-CCP Praia, o espectáculo "Entre o rio e o mar – Miguel Torga no arquipélago da poesia".
Em torno da poesia de Miguel Torga (do qual se celebrou em 2007 o centenário do nascimento e ocasião para a qual foi concebida esta homenagem), articulada com a contemporânea poesia cabo-verdiana, o poeta José Braga-Amaral concebeu um espectáculo multidisciplinar, conjugando a palavra, a imagem e a música, que agora se apresenta ao público da cidade da Praia.
